I will walk a little, but I recommend stopping in the parking lot along the river. The front parking lot will wait 90 minutes depending on the day!
I have a busy day, weekends and holidays. New Year holidays are supposed to be horrible.
Akafuku Ice has started At the Jingumae store, you can eat at the teahouse inside Yokocho at the main store. If you want to have a meal, you can have your own taste, but if you have tekonese sushi, you can eat Tofuya tofu dishes and Confucius dishes.
The Akafuku ice was definitely delicious! !
I went to the New Year so I did not eat tofu soft cream, but tofu donut was light and not too sweet and it was delicious.
When eating and walking, it is difficult to know where the trash can be
It depends on the store
I don't think there was a parking lot dedicated to Yokocho, but there are many parking lots (charges) around.
You can go around enough ♪ If you go from the turn, it would be nice if you could move from outer shrine to inner shrine to thanks Yokocho. Please enjoy yourself slowly
It's a must stop by tourist. The re-make of ancient buildings and shops are so adorable.
Beautiful! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to look at all of the shops!!
Lots of shops offering different merchandise, souvenirs and food items. Walking distance to Okage Yokocho.
nice revival job of old japan. very clean picture perfect.
I love this place, you can eat many food and the old style japanese snack.
You have to come here when visit Ise city
i love this place so much coz i can see nice Japanese traditional stores and i also love to have delicious foodone things if i can complain is many people visit here so it's quite tough to get everythingwe have to be in the long long line
A must see in Japan! I especially loved all the food I got to try there like the pudding toast (プリントースト), the croquettes (コãƒãƒƒã‚±), mitarashi dango, and the udon!
Pretty awesome with lots of stalls and other good food locations. Good sights and relatively clean.
Crowded but great. There is a lot to see, eat, and do.
Nice to view and eat, many good shop
Busy on the weekend but amazing overall. So many interesting spots and shops. We spent a long time here
Many variety of ancient merchandise tasty food and cute souvenirs
So many food & souvenir shops & vendors. Nice walkways
Interesting walking street, with authentic Japanese Architecture and interesting merchandise, food, snacks sold by individual stalls. You can spend the entire afternoon roaming the streets! Best time to visit, Autumn!
Lots of beautiful old buildings and nice shopping experience
A great place to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere. Tasty traditional snacks, local craft beer, and taiko drum performances on the weekends!
There are many old fashion architectures around here. And can enjoy some local and traditional food as well.
Pretty great shopping area. My wife and mother-in-law (both Japanese) were very interested in the various offerings and histories. I mostly enjoyed the variety of snacks and drinks available, but also took interest in the traditional Japanese goods.Between this shopping and the shrine we were able to spend, basically, a full day (including driving from Kyoto and back). Parking lots are 10ish minutes away by foot, and they range from 500-1000 yen for the day.As you would expect from any major tourist attraction in Japan, the place is pretty flooded with people, but not unbearably so. I was able to push a stroller around without much issue (I went in the summer, though on a weekday).
High quality tourist street for Japanese
Delicious food, great atmosphere, a good checkpoint when visiting the shrine grounds. I specifically recommend trying all the local goods! It's a perfect spot for snacking and grabbing lunch.
A nice street with a lot of shops and a a few restaurants close to the streat aswell.
Nice and cool place to visit. Beautiful scene and good food.
if you want to feel walk in the past of japan.this is a place where you have to visit.
It looks somewhat like the old streets with traditional houses in Kyoto. Only, it’s in Ise and right by the holiest shrine in the city. You can find some of the specialty dishes of the city, along with delicious, unique snacks, and souvenirs.
Lovely Japanese ambience kankakai
Nice street with a lot shop to pick
Good place to spend an afternoon. But very crowded on Sunday. Lots of street food. Do try the Ise soft udon which is very popular the locals.
A good feeling about this place. Feels much welcoming and real than other "traditionnal" street shop
A must visit street adjoining to Ise Jingu shrine.Lots of authentic japanese food and culture.
I would recommend to try the akafuku, the local japanese sweet. One of the most famed store is established here
Omiyage shopping - genorous sample 😋
The most beautiful little town I’ve ever been to in Japan. The quaint shops and street foods are really special. Feels like I’m taken back to old Japan.
If you like busy shopping streets and overpriced food items this is a place for you. It's got the same atmosphere as other districts like harijuku only this one has a more historical front of shops as opposed to ultra modern. If you're going to shrine near here you can't help but run into it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here
I love this place, full of people. Ancient stress, 1300 years temple, delicious foods, interested gifts and everyone look so funny. I saw a picture of Barrack Obama on the wall, when he visited here. We can not get into the temple, Obama too :)))
Great place to visit lots of street food and shops to buy gifts, souvenirs. You have to walk down the street to get to the shrine
The street is nice with ancient houses even those most of them was renovated into shop. Honestly too much shop and tourists...
In rain or shine this is the place to be to experience the old Japan. Plenty of fine little shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the magnificent Ise Jingu
Fabulous outside Street and venders. The ambiance was genuine, clean and very attractive. The shops a bit of everything and tons of great food. Lots of different people walking around too if you just like people watching. Very much enjoyed it.
The shopping street was not too long. There were some restaurants and shops including fashion and arts. The store at the end of the street sold ice-cream and desert was nice. Post office and bus station wer also located near this end.
You can spend a whole day here for shopping, eating, sight seeing etc. The shops are unique and various. The food is delicious and so different. Will visit again for sure if traveling around.
After pray for AmaterasuOokami, you can walk through this street and spend a lot of time here. Most recommended is trying to eat Ise special UDON and the sweets called "Akafuku"
Very Japanese style town good for looking something to eat.
Street that leads to Jingu. Has many great shops and restaurants along the street.
Nice place to walk around and eat. Make sure to try "akafuku", it is a local sweet very typical from Ise. You can also try some delicacies in the nearby restaurants, especially seafood like abalone or lobster. Also try Ise udon noodles and Tekone zushi
Many great street food, akafuku mochi and ise udon around. Just see which one is full of people 😂
Very authentic traditional Japanese street with lots to see, buy and eat. Remember to turn to the Meow Alley for more shops and surprises. East to spot with a cat statue right on the left side.
loads of specility shops. ise-ebi corroke is recommended
A bustling row of shops that gives you a taste of ancient Japan. Lots of local fare such as Matsusaka beef (higher rated than Kobe!) And Ise udon - soft boiled flour noodles with no broth, but a dashi-shoyu sauce.
Nice shopping street in connection with the Shrine. Good opportunity for souvenirs.
